FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
NIOS
- OBE (Open Basic Education)1st to 8th std.
- 10th std.
- 12th std.
NIOS is an initiative by the Central government and is recognized globally as an official board.
After completing their board exams, students can take up admission in any other college of their choice, including colleges oversees.
For other boards all subjects are compulsory, and exams have to be given in one sitting or window.
Not for NIOS Board. The pattern is very flexible. Exams can be given in either of the 2 windows, April or October. Or one subject can be given every month. This does not reflect in the mark sheet.
Once you register for the NIOS board exam, you have 5 years to clear it.
There's no such thing as 'Fail' under NIOS. It merely says not cleared. You can give 9 attempts. Failing an exam doesn't reflect in the mark sheet in any way.
You can clear your 10th and 12th Boards without choosing Math's or Science.
You can change subjects midway.

Both online and offline mode is available for coaching.
At Ankuram we provide free counselling and assessment to decide which subject to choose.
Comprehensive study material, apart from the official study material provided by the NIOS board can be availed.
For certain students, home tutors can also be provided.
We provide soft skills to all students irrespective of the subjects chosen as we believe they are important tools for life.
We provide coaching for HSC Board as well.
In regular schools, for those who cannot attend, children fill Form 17 to appear externally. We can assist with that.
Guaranteed admission to 11th standard under SSC board in Rosary School for those who clear Std 10 from the NIOS Board.
